After a couple months of running in the cheapest shoes I could find in the DSW clearance section, I decided to get serious & buy a more comfortable pair of shoes. I went to Fleet Feet in San Francisco & officially got fitted for running shoes. It was a pretty nice experience -- the owner of the store was the one who actually measured my feet, watched me walk, & tied my shoelaces for me! The first pair of shoes he brought out were the Mizuno's Wave Inspire 7 & I was extremely surprised by how comfortable they were. I'm actually pretty pleased w/ the color (which includes the super neon shoelaces too!). I don't want to get too far ahead of myself for now, since I haven't taken them for a run quite yet, but I'm excited!!
My current goal? Probably to run an entire 10k race in late July.
